Following overheating on test runs earlier in the week, the coolant system was drained and the heat-exchanger opened to find it clogged with an accumulation of rust flakes, 25/02/2012 ..
.. a gauze filter was made to fit into the top of the heat-exhanger to catch the flakes and gunk as they passed through the unit, the amount has decreased slowly but the process has had to be repeated many times. The gauze filter is seen above during cleaning, 01/03/2012 © D9531.com
